Running on Einhell’s 18V Power X-Change battery platform, it’s noticeably light in the hand, which makes it easy to hold out at an angle for long stretches of edging along paths, fences, or flower beds without your arm tiring. The 24 cm cutting width is modest, but for tight corners and awkward spots around obstacles, that narrower head is actually an advantage — it’s easier to thread into gaps than a wider trimmer.

Because it’s a simple line-only machine, there’s very little to go wrong. No blade to balance, no gearbox to worry about — just a spool of line and a motor. For anyone who wants a trimmer that starts instantly, weighs next to nothing, and is finished in a few minutes, this covers the basics well.

Where it falls short
