Strengths

At 21.7 cc it’s genuinely light, and the curved shaft with loop handle keeps the balance close to the body, so it’s easy to swing around beds, fences and awkward corners without tiring your arms. Starting follows the usual small 2-stroke routine, but it’s straightforward once you’re used to the choke and primer sequence, and the compact size makes it easy to carry and store — useful if space or a car boot is a factor.

Limits

The main thing to be clear on is that this is a line-only machine. There’s no blade option, so brambles, saplings or dense scrub are off the table entirely — pushing it into that kind of growth will just stall the engine and wear the line quickly. The 21.7 cc engine is also modest even within petrol trimmers, so long sessions in thick or waterlogged grass will feel like more effort than a 25–28 cc machine would need. And like any small 2-stroke, you’re mixing fuel and oil rather than just filling a tank.

A sensibly sized, easy-handling petrol trimmer for grass and light tidying. Fine for its intended job, but its line-only design and small engine rule it out for anything brushier.
